Sabrina Carpenter has surprise released an extended version of her recent album “Short n’ Sweet”. Titled “Short n’ Sweet(er)”, the album includes an additional unreleased track called “Busy Woman”.
In a note to fans, Carpenter revealed she had written “Busy Woman” with collaborators Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen shortly after completing the original album. Unfortunately there was no room to include it on the initial release. However, she enjoyed the song so much that she wanted fans to hear it as a thank-you for their support.
To access the new song, listeners need to purchase the digital version of “Short n’ Sweet(er)” from Carpenter’s online store. This contains the standard 12 tracks as well as “Busy Woman” as a bonus. The extended album also sports an alternate cover image, showing a more casual photo of Carpenter playfully biting her nail.
This follows a earlier digital bonus track release of “Needless to Say”, which was exclusive to the vinyl album format. Carpenter playfully encouraged fans not to resist the extra content.
Critically, the original album earned praise for its fun beats and humor, it showcased Carpenter’s songwriting partnership with Amy Allen and Julia Michaels.
