While details are still emerging, investigators have confirmed the shooting occurred near Drake’s sprawling home in one of Toronto’s most exclusive neighborhoods. The security guard was on duty at Drake’s mansion, located on a private road in the ritzy Bridle Path area, when the shooting transpired.
Police have indicated the vehicle seen on camera is being treated as part of their investigation. However, they have not officially declared this a drive-by shooting. It also remains unclear if Drake was present in his home during the event.
Interestingly, police are aware of an ongoing public dispute Drake has engaged in with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick Lamar even featured an image of Drake’s Toronto residence in the artwork for one of his diss tracks. However, authorities have not confirmed any connection between this feud and the guard’s shooting as of now.
Drake’s expansive estate is no secret in Toronto. He has filmed music videos there previously and his address has attracted attention online.
