Devastating news hit fans this week as it emerged that British pop phenomenon PinkPantheress has called off all remaining 2024 tour dates. Taking to an emotional post, 23-year-old PinkPantheress said in her Instagram post that she had hit a wall with her physical and mental health and therefore could not continue her non-stop touring.
After headlining her own sold out “Capable of Love” tour earlier this year and recently appearing as the opener for Olivia Rodrigo’s massive “Guts World Tour”, PinkPantheress was just hitting her stride. Fans were eagerly anticipating her festival sets at III Points and Field Day, not to mention joining Coldplay for their Australia/New Zealand leg of the “Music of the Spheres” tour that stretched well into November.
However, it seems that this has all now caught up with this rising star. In the message, PinkPantheress thanked her team and supporters for the chance, but concentrating on recovery from undisclosed health issues was paramount. Sure, canceling a load of festival performances and opening slots must be a tough call, but her well-being comes first.
When PinkPantheress had her viral moment in Columbus, that was just more proof that she’s an artist who truly connects with the fans. At a recent show, PinkPantheress gave her Coach bag away to an admiring fan who, in turn, gave her a custom Funko Pop. These heartwarming exchanges probably fuel her passion for live performing, making the current break from touring all the more necessary.
Having released her highly praised debut album, “Heaven Knows,” just this year, 2024 has already been a breakthrough. However, to ensure her health and creativity are preserved, PinkPantheress now apparently needs to step back.
