The rap queen’s reign was briefly interrupted last weekend when Nicki Minaj found herself in a compromising situation at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. The “Chun-Li” hitmaker was apprehended by Dutch authorities on suspicion of attempting to smuggle “soft drugs” out of the Netherlands.

The incident forced Minaj to cancel her scheduled performance in Manchester that same night, leaving her Barbz in the city feeling anything but excitement. After spending around six hours in custody and coughing up a €350 fine, the Trinidad-born rapper was ultimately released and allowed to make her way to the UK.

But the saga didn’t end there. Minaj’s Sunday show at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, where she had performed just days prior on May 23rd, has now been scrapped altogether “due to the events of last week,” according to a statement from promoter Mojo.

The 41-year-old took to social media to live-stream the airport ordeal, vehemently denying the drugs belonged to her and alleging racial discrimination in her treatment by officials.

While the canceled Amsterdam date is a disappointment for fans, Minaj’s Barbz in Manchester can breathe a sigh of relief. The rescheduled show will go ahead as planned on Monday at the Co-op Live arena. “I really hope you can make the #JUNE3rd show. It’ll be really special,” Minaj assured ticket holders.
