Bebe Rexha has recently reported on social media the disturbing situation she went through at Munich Airport in Germany. Going by story posts on her Instagram account, she is said to have had a bad experience with an airport security officer after conversing with the same in her native Albanian language.
She said in a series of emotional posts, that after she asked the officer where she could get a flight ticket, he got angry once he realized that she spoke in Albanian. She added that he then prohibited her from boarding her scheduled Lufthansa flight. In her view, Rexha felt it was because of discrimination against her Albanian origin.
She claimed that even after the officer denied her entry into the plane, she was continually being harassed. She mentions that he never gave out his name. However, he psychologically harassed her to prove his power in the incident. According to Rexha, no female from Lufthansa spoke to her defense to question the incident by the officer.
The Albanian-American Rexha had written that she was targeted because of her ethnicity. That she had asked that the airport “investigate the male officer.” Lufthansa has, however, reached out to Bebe to gather facts, citing that diversity is one of their key values.
This harrowing experience must have hit Rexha very hard emotionally, going by the tearful updates she shared on social media in search of support and demanding accountability for what she felt was prejudiced mistreatment.
