Apple is again offering potential subscribers a chance to try its music streaming service for free with an extended trial period. Apple Music will now offer new users a 3-month free trial up until September 22nd, while the trial period dropped to as little as 1 month last year.
Available only to new subscribers who have not had Apple One, Family, or a regular paid subscription to the service before. The offer should appear once Apple releases an updated Apple Music app for iOS, iPadOS and macOS. Alternatively, Users may go to the Home tab and tap an “Accept Now” button that will clearly be shown below the promotion.
During the free trial, subscribers will gain access to Apple’s vast music library, entirely ad-free, including more than 100 million songs. They also get Apple Music 1 Radio and more directly in the official app across platforms or via any browser on the web. Subscribers will automatically be transitioned to the regular $10.99 month-to-month subscription after the 3 months unless canceled beforehand.
It’s also offering this 3-month Apple Music trial to buyers of new Apple devices. As things are, Apple Music now possesses the second-largest share at 13.7 percent amongst all paid music streaming platforms in the US, only trailing behind the leading industry player Spotify Premium. Providing this extended free trial will enable Apple to onboard more subscribers and compete in the streaming sector.
