The annual MTV Video Music Award ceremony will be on September 11th at the UBS Arena in New York City. This year, the house should be set on fire, as there are expected performances by some of the industry’s top giants. The ceremony was fixed for the 10th but was pushed by a day to avoid colliding with an oncoming presidential debate.
The 2024 Video Vanguard recipient, Katy Perry, is confirmed to perform on the night. Sabrina Carpenter and Camila Cabello are among the initial lineup of announced artists performing.
Outlined below are just some of the artists who will be taking the stage this year:
Alternative pop star Halsey will perform live for the first time after releasing the sound of the summer with the hit, “Lucky,” from her new album.
Rock pioneer Lenny Kravitz returns to the VMA stage for his first performance in over two decades.
Rising singer/songwriter Benson Boone will make his VMA debut after smashing streaming records with his breakthrough single.
Hot K-pop sensation LISA just won her first solo VMA last year and will perform for the first time on the show.
Breaking artists Chappell Roan and the lone hip-hop name announced, GloRilla, will make their VMA stage debuts.
Puerto Rican singer Rauw rounds off the list as a first-time nominee and VMA performer.
