Last Tuesday, Travis Scott brought his “UTOPIA: CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR” to a mammoth crowd in Milan, Italy where fans were so energized some thought an actual quake was underway. Playing at the cavernous La Maura Hippodrome venue with a jaw-dropping 80,000 fans in attendance, Scott had the Italian city trembling with the force of his show.
So lively was the performance that some Milan residents took to social media swearing the shaking they felt must have been seismic in nature. But as Il Messaggero later reported, it was just the aftershocks of Travis Scott’s genre-bending talents sending ripples throughout the audience. From his bird’s eye view during the gig, even Scott himself marveled at the “dream” of a night unfolding before him in Instagram posts.
Of course, causing earthquakes with his live shows has become almost routine for Scott by this point. Just last August he ignited Rome’s famed Circus Maximus with a similar one-off performance that reportedly had local fire services fielding hundreds of panicking calls. There he even brought out hip-hop mentor Ye to further crank up the energy with hits off their collaborative work.
