The music world is buzzing about Billie Eilish’s latest masterpiece, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” and one of the biggest fans is none other than SZA. The “Kill Bill” hitmaker took to X (formerly Twitter) to shower the album with praise, calling it “gorgeous” and declaring that Eilish “went f—ing crazy.”

Produced entirely in-house by the sibling collaborators, “Hit Me Hard and Soft” arrives two years after Eilish’s Grammy-sweeping album “Happier Than Ever”. Forgoing any singles, the singer opted to unveil the full work in one fell swoop – an intimate listening experience she’s compared to sharing private snapshots.

In prior interviews, Eilish explained the duo crafted the album as if no one would ever hear it. ““I think this one specifically is like that. Something that Finneas and I said to a couple of people when we started to play it for people is we kind of made the album that if somebody had said, ‘I want you to make an album and no one is going to hear it. You don’t have to worry about anyone’s ears or opinions or anything at all. It’s in your contract to make an album but no one can hear it.’ We pretty much made that album. We made that album without much thought of other people.”
