Spotify has expanded the reach of its Daylist personalized playlist feature by making it available globally in over 15 new languages. The Daylist, which provides music tailored to specific times of the day based on a user’s listening habits, saw strong popularity initially within English-speaking markets.
70% of early Daylist users in countries like the US, Canada, and UK engaged with it every week. This recurring tuning-in demonstrated it as one of Spotify’s standout features for surfacing new music to listeners. The platform added 65 additional markets to the Daylist in their local languages earlier this year to build upon this success.
The latest move brings Daylist to Spotify Free and Premium subscribers, regardless of location. It can now be experienced with titles in Arabic, Catalan, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish.
Beyond its annual Wrapped personalized playlist, Spotify cites Daylist as its most shared custom creation among users. Its constantly evolving nature throughout the day also allows fans to save a specific Daylist as their own permanent playlist.
