Emily Blunt was full of praise for Taylor Swift’s thoughtful act of kindness towards her daughter. The actress spoke fondly of an encounter where Swift went out of her way to boost the self-confidence of Blunt’s oldest child, Hazel.
During a recent interview on The Howard Stern Show, Blunt recounted how Swift had met her kids and was exceptionally warm and welcoming towards them. Hazel had recently cut her hair very short at the time and was self-conscious about her new style. But Swift took the time to reassure Hazel, telling her she looked “like this ’60s beatnik cool kid” and that she loved her look.
According to Blunt, that small act of affirmation from Swift meant the world to Hazel. “It was the best thing anyone’s ever done for my child,” Blunt stated sincerely. Even Stern, a father himself, was touched by the pop star’s kindness towards a young fan.
While a compliment from such a global celebrity could potentially inflate one’s ego, Blunt assured that her daughters have a healthy outlook. Growing up with parents in the entertainment industry has normalized interactions with famous people for them. Blunt believes they appreciate meeting others from similar families who understand their unique experiences.
