K-pop dominated Apple Music’s year-end streaming charts in 2023 according to the service’s recently revealed rankings. Five songs by Korean artists placed within the top 100 most streamed songs globally on Apple Music this year.
Leading the pack was “Ditto” by NewJeans at #19. Their explosive debut track resonated widely with listeners. Two other NewJeans singles also charted nicely – “OMG” at #37 and “Hype Boy” at #64.
Soloist Jungkook delivered for BTS fans with his first single “Seven” featuring Latto, which landed at #48. Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM demonstrated their growing popularity with “Antifragile” cracking the top 100 at #79.
Outside of K-pop, household names like Taylor Swift, PinkPantheress, Morgan Wallen and Miley Cyrus maintained their popularity according to Apple Music streams.
All in all, it was another banner year for K-pop domination on major streaming platforms. The genre consolidated its global streaming power in 2023.
