Candace Owens ignited debate earlier this month with calls on social media to completely ban pornography. However, rap superstar Cardi B begs to differ on the issue and doesn’t see porn as the extreme evil that Owens claims.
In a fiery Twitter thread, Owens slammed porn as a “psychological weapon” meant to weaken men and introduce taboos like homosexuality, pedophilia, and incest. She argued it was created by depraved individuals as a sort of Satanic sacrament. Unsurprisingly, these bold claims caught the attention of many – including Cardi herself.
When screenshots of Owens’ rant made their way to Instagram, Cardi wasted no time voicing her thoughts. “Why y’all so against porn?” the “WAP” hitmaker questioned fans. “Is it really that bad?” She went on to share that while she enjoys the occasional viewing, porn isn’t something she feels addicted to or relies on for intimacy.
This isn’t the first clash between the political nemeses, who have opposing views on everything from Cardi’s raunchy lyrics to her Biden interview last year. The rapper recently acknowledged criticism of her borderline-pornographic “WAP,” noting conservative moms and soccer moms were less than thrilled with the song’s explicit nature.
