Bebe Rexha took to social media this week to call out rapper G-Eazy after allegedly being asked to shoot some promotional content with him. Rexha and G-Eazy (birth name Gerald Gillum) first joined forces back in 2015 for their hit collaboration “Me, Myself & I”, and later worked together on Rexha’s 2017 track “F.F.F.” However, it seems their professional relationship has since turned sour.

Rexha posted about the ordeal on her Instagram story, sharing a screenshot of a message from her team about a potential shoot with G-Eazy in New York. But Rexha was not happy, directing her frustrations directly at the rapper. “Why don’t you text me yourself?” she fired back. Rexha went on to label G-Eazy an “ungrateful loser”, insisting she gave him his “only real hit”.

The fiery post has since been deleted, but Rexha gave fans more context on Twitter. She admitted to acting out of “trauma” from that period of her life working with G-Eazy. While she removed the Insta story, Rexha maintained she “still stand[s] by what [she] said”.

Interestingly, just a few years ago in 2017 Rexha spoke quite positively about collaborating with G-Eazy during an interview. She described them as being “on the same wavelength” creatively with great “chemistry” in the studio. Meanwhile, G-Eazy also seemed to enjoy their working relationship, calling their first connection a “blind date” of sorts.
