Miley Cyrus and her father, country legend Billy Ray Cyrus, are working to strengthen their relationship amid some recent family difficulties. Billy Ray took to Instagram to share an emotional throwback with his daughter, reminiscing on simpler times and showing support for how far she’s come.
“One of my best memories ever: [CMA Country Music] Fest, back when it was Fan Fair,” Billy Ray wrote alongside a framed photo of a baby Miley in his arms at the festival. ” surrounded by thousands of incredible fans at the fairgrounds. The next day, someone handed me this picture, and I wrote that poem right then on the bus.” He went on to reveal writing a heartfelt poem about the moment, still framed above the treasured snapshot today.
While rumors of discord between the famous father-daughter duo have swirled in recent months, Billy Ray made it clear nothing will shake his pride in Miley. “She’s a survivor and a true artist,” he said. “She learned early on to love and appreciate the fans who make everything possible. We both cherish the connection we have with our fans and are grateful for every single one of you!”.
Sources say navigating the divorce from Miley’s mother Tish has put a strain on their bond. However, with gestures like Billy Ray’s loving Instagram tribute, it seems the singer and her dad are making a conscious effort to rebuild what matters most – their family ties.
