During one of Adele’s residency shows in Las Vegas, the singer helped a couple reveal the gender of their baby in a truly memorable moment. Chris Fare and his wife Shantelle Lord managed to sneak a sign into the no-signs-allowed concert requesting Adele’s assistance with their gender reveal.
Adele noticed the sign and invited the couple on stage, touched to be a part of such a special moment. Although bans are in place, this couple cleverly found a way to involve their idol. Shantelle, 18 weeks pregnant, told a gracious Adele how they had known the gender for months but wanted to reveal it there.
The Grammy winner happily agreed, opening the envelope and announcing to the eager crowd “It’s a boy!” as the parents celebrated with tearful hugs. Adele reflected on her own potential motherhood journey once her residency concludes.
This wasn’t the singer’s only interaction, as she previously spoke out against dangerous trends of objects being thrown at performers. In light of incidents that left artists injured, Adele sternly warned anyone considering it at her shows that she would not tolerate any risks to safety.
Through both tender moments and stands against certain behaviors, Adele continues showcasing her care and connection to fans, as well as her commitment to protection for all involved in her acclaimed Las Vegas shows.
