The Eagles may have wrapped up their season, but football is far from over for one Philadelphia family. Recently retired center Jason Kelce opened up about how his brother Travis Kelce’s year has taken a surreal turn dating pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Speaking on the Whiskey Ginger podcast, Jason reflected on how life has changed since last summer when news broke of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Grammy winner going public with their romance. While he and wife Kylie deal with more attention as well, Jason said being in Travis and Taylor’s orbit is an entirely different experience.
“I think she’s a little big uncomfortable with, I guess, how much it’s become and our family’s out there, like people know what our kids look like. We’ve tried to retract from that a little bit. But I think she enjoys the fact that she gets to go and do charitable outings and she gets to give back to the community” he notes.
Though the extra attention brings its challenges, like unwanted photos of their kids online, Jason said Kylie has embraced the opportunities to give back that come with fame. He sees she’s adjusting well after appearing in the Inside the Eagles documentary that poured fuel on the fire last fall.
As for Travis, Jason insisted his superstar status hasn’t changed who he is at the core – still humble and treating everyone with equal respect. That tracks with Travis’ own comments to GMA where he maintained his grounded approach despite rising profiles.
