Many fans are still mourning the death of beloved artist Liam Payne. The former One Direction star passed away on October 16th after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Now, three people of interest have been charged in connection to the incident.

According to authorities, two hotel workers have been detained and charged with the “supplying the drugs and raided the home of a friend, also detained.” Additionally, police raided the home of a friend of Payne’s, who has also been taken into custody. The names of the three individuals have not yet been released to the public.

Payne, who was 31 years old at the time of his death, is survived by his 7-year-old son Bear, whom he shared with ex-partner Cheryl Cole.

An autopsy report revealed that Payne died from several injuries sustained in the fall, including internal and external bleeding. Investigators also reportedly found a concerning cocktail of illicit substances in Payne’s system, including a recreational drug known as “pink cocaine” – a mixture that often contains ketamine, MDMA, methamphetamine, cocaine, opioids, and other psychoactive components.
