The Weeknd reached a remarkable streaming achievement in late 2024, with Spotify commemorating his record of 25 tracks crossing the billion-stream mark through an exclusive concert experience.

The music streaming platform captured a special Los Angeles performance, transforming the live show into a 45-minute concert film that will be initially available only on Spotify’s mobile, desktop, and TV applications.

The film features nine tracks from the concert and includes unique voiceover segments by The Weeknd himself. It represents a key moment in Spotify’s growing ‘Billions Club’ initiative, which highlights artists with extraordinary streaming success.

For the first 48 hours, the concert film will be exclusively accessible through Spotify’s platforms. While the platform hasn’t confirmed subsequent distribution channels, industry observers anticipate a potential YouTube release.

This latest project continues The Weeknd’s trend of innovative musical presentations. In recent years, he has explored various digital performance formats, including an immersive Apple Vision Pro experience in 2023 and a mixed-reality TikTok livestream in 2020.
