Taylor Swift has officially filed a trademark for the term “Female Rage: The Musical.” The trademark application was submitted this past Saturday, May 11th, and is currently awaiting assignment to an examiner. While the specific plans for this trademark remain unclear, Swift has previously indicated that “Female Rage: The Musical” is the apt descriptor for a new addition to her ongoing Eras tour – the “Tortured Poets Department.”
After resuming the record-breaking Eras tour in Paris last week, Swift took to Instagram to share her excitement about this new section of the show. “This post is dedicated to the new Tortured Poets section of the Eras Tour (aka Female Rage The Musical!) and everyone who made these memories so magical,” she wrote, thanking her crew, fellow performers, and band for their tireless efforts in bringing this surprise to life for the passionate Parisian fans.
The 14-time Grammy winner debuted several new songs during the Paris shows, including “But Daddy I Love Him,” “So High School,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” as well as her Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Fortnight.” The setlist also featured fan favorites like “Paris,” “”Begin Again,” and a mashup of “The Alchemy” from the Tortured Poets Department and “Treacherous” from her acclaimed Red album.
