Swift Nation was in for a treat as iHeartRadio unveiled special programming centered around Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated new album, The Tortured Poets Department. Leading up to the album’s release on April 19th, various iHeartRadio formats would be focusing on the pop icon’s stellar catalog.

On April 18th, all mainstream top 40 iHeart stations planned to air a curated mix highlighting Tay’s biggest hits over the years. Meanwhile, hot adult contemporary stations opted for a double dose of Swift, playing one of her older hits paired with a new one during each hour.

At the stroke of midnight on the 19th, both top 40 and hot AC in addition to some soft rock stations committed to broadcasting the entire album straight through. Listeners could also enjoy Swift providing commentary and insight between songs.

The iHeartRadio app launched “Tortured Poets Radio” to commemorate the release, a station dedicated to rotating every era of Swift’s acclaimed discography. Fans eager to digest her new creative work had plenty of options provided by the popular radio network.

Swift herself teased “many exciting things ahead” while accepting her Artist of the Year award, presented by former boy band members AJ McLean and Lance Bass, at the recent iHeartRadio Music Awards. Via pretaped message, she expressed deep gratitude for devoted Swifties who supported her career through music and concerts over the years.

The megastar also celebrated her upcoming album and how proud she was to finally share it, on top of scoring additional awards like Pop Artist of the Year and Tour of the Year. Taylor Swift once again showed her appreciation for fans and their role in her continued success, cementing her reign in the pop world as The Tortured Poets Department prepares to enchant listeners worldwide.
