Legendary rock singer Stevie Nicks recently opened up about how watching the new miniseries “Daisy Jones & The Six” brought back vivid memories of her own time in Fleetwood Mac during their most successful period.

In an emotional social media post, Nicks explained that while the show is fictional, she felt like she was watching her own life unfold on screen as Riley Keough’s character depicted her rise to fame in the 1970s music industry. The parallels between Daisy Jones and Nicks’ experience leading one of the most famous rock bands of that era were impossible to ignore.

Nicks went on to say that watching the miniseries was a “ghostly” experience, transporting her back to a pivotal time in her career. She shared it was deeply moving but also stirred up feelings of sadness, since her beloved friend and musical partner Christine McVie was not around to enjoy the show.

McVie sadly passed away last year, and Nicks dearly wished she could have shared this peek into their shared history with her bandmate. In mourning McVie’s death, Nicks poignantly quoted lyrics from Haim’s “Hallelujah” that spoke to the cherished memories and bond they shared making music together over the decades.

The miniseries served as a bittersweet reminder of both the thrills and tribulations of her career, as well as the irreplaceable friend she lost.
