Shakira announced major changes to the North American leg of her highly anticipated Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour on Friday. Due to overwhelming ticket demand, the tour dates will be postponed from November 2024 to May 2025, and venues will be upgraded from arenas to stadiums.

In an emotional statement on Instagram, Shakira thanked fans for their incredible support which has made this her biggest tour to date. However, the scale of production and interest has necessitated moving dates to allow for stadium capabilities.

Your incredible support since my tour announcement has truly been extraordinary, and it’s already making this the biggest tour of my career,” Shakira wrote .

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer was originally scheduled to kick off the North American dates on November 2nd in Palm Desert, California. She has now postponed those arena shows by over two years to accommodate stadium upgrades in key markets.

This comes as no surprise given Shakira’s status as one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all time. Her 12th studio album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin charts upon release in March, underscoring her continued popularity.

Fans will have to wait even longer to see Shakira perform songs from the acclaimed record live. However, she promised the extended production timeframe allows her to “deliver the best show of my life.”

Newly announced stadium tour dates will be revealed this coming Monday via Shakira’s social media channels. Marking the first concerts in support of her latest Spanish-language LP, excitement is high amongst her vast global fanbase.
