In a candid interview with *The Guardian*, Robbie Williams, the iconic voice behind hits like “Angels” and a former member of Take That, has opened up about the persistent rumors surrounding his sexuality. The conversation, aimed at promoting his upcoming biopic *Better Man*, took an unexpected turn as Williams addressed these rumors with a mix of humor and heartfelt sincerity.

Williams, now in his 50s, reflected on a lawsuit from 2005 where he took legal action against a tabloid for falsely claiming he was gay. “I’m a Port Vale fan, and it’s like somebody going, ‘Well you’re a Liverpool fan,” He said, “I’ve done everything but suck a c–k. Honestly, you’ve never met somebody that wants to be gay as much as me.” He explained, “You want to be an ally while at the same time protecting your own authenticity and your own life.”

Shifting gears to his biopic, *Better Man*, Williams revealed an intriguing casting choice: he is to be portrayed by a CGI chimpanzee. “Let’s face it, a Robbie Williams biopic without the monkey is way less appealing, or intriguing,” this choice reflects his desire to keep his life’s story entertaining and true to his quirky nature.

However, not all is fun and games. Williams disclosed a disagreement with his former bandmate Gary Barlow over the initial script. “He phoned me up and he’s like, ‘Rob, read the script, I come off worse than Darth Vader in the first Star Wars.”
