RM is having an incredible debut on the Billboard charts this week. His new solo project “Right Place, Wrong Person” rockets straight to the top spot on the Top Rap Albums chart in its first week.

This marks RM’s first time reaching number one on this influential hip-hop tally. As a solo artist and member of the massively popular K-pop group BTS, he has found success on other Billboard lists before, but conquering the Top Rap Albums chart is a new accomplishment.

It also launched an impressive No. 5 debut on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. Within its first seven days of availability stateside, the album moved an estimated 54,000 units.

Physical sales power the project as well – “Right Place, Wrong Person” starts at number two on the Top Album Sales chart, shifting over 43,000 pure copies at retail. This solo offering demonstrates RM’s broad appeal across rap, pop, and the K-pop fandom in America. It will be exciting to see how high his star continues to rise internationally.
