Shazaming music while using apps just got easier! The latest Shazam update allows you to identify songs playing through other apps like TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
All you need to do is:
- Open a video with music on an app like TikTok, Instagram or YouTube.
- Launch the Shazam app and press the Shazam button.
- Switch back to the original app – Shazam will start listening in the background!
- Once it finds a match, Shazam will notify you.
You can also turn on “Auto Shazam” so you get alerts anytime you hear music, without needing to press a button. Just press and hold the Shazam button and select “Auto Shazam is on”.
Now when you scroll your social feeds, Shazam will automatically identify any music playing. Pretty neat right! But be warned, running Shazam in the background can really drain your phone’s battery.
