Billie Eilish has once more been crowned Apple Music’s Artist of the Year.
The 22-year-old singer-songwriter, who captivated audiences earlier this year with the release of her third studio album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” has solidified her position as a trailblazer, earning the prestigious accolade for the second time in her illustrious career.
“Since day one, Apple Music has supported my music and artistry, and I am both honored and humbled to receive this recognition as Artist of the Year this many years into my career,” Eilish expressed.
This achievement marks a historic moment, as Eilish becomes the first artist to secure the coveted Apple Music Artist of the Year title twice, having previously claimed the honor in 2019.
Rachel Newman, Apple Music’s senior director of content and editorial, extolled Eilish’s impact, noting, “From the moment we first heard ‘Ocean Eyes’ nearly a decade ago, we’ve been fans and champions of Billie’s work. Billie has enjoyed a hugely successful year so far, which has included being nominated for seven Grammy Awards and performing at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics.”
