Billie Eilish made a stunning appearance at the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards alongside her brother and collaborator Finneas O’Connell. The siblings were receiving the Chairman’s Award in recognition of their contributions to the Barbie film and soundtrack.

Always one to experiment with bold fashion statements, Eilish rocked a two-toned black and red hairstyle paired with a multicolored headscarf and yellow-lensed sunglasses. She wore a casual yet polished look of a white button-down, black tie, and coordinating bottoms. Continuing her monochrome vibe, Eilish topped it off with an oversized black bomber jacket and visible white socks with her black shoes.

Finneas complemented his sister’s style in an all-black suit and glasses. The duo clearly enjoyed coordinating their red carpet ensembles as always.

Their Chairman’s Award honored the success of “What Was I Made For”, the hit single Eilish and Finneas created for the Barbie soundtrack. The song already scored nine Golden Globe nominations and five Grammy nods of its own.

In a recent Tonight Show interview, Eilish reflected on unexpectedly landing the opportunity to write for Barbie. After Finneas’ initial suggestion, she had a “friendly and cool” chat with director Greta Gerwig and musician Mark Ronson that paved the way. Eilish appreciated how the song brought women together and gave audiences a shared life experience to connect over.

While basking in “What Was I Made For’s” ongoing acclaim, Eilish teased that she and Finneas are nearing completion of her highly anticipated third album, due for release sometime this year. Fans eagerly await what new musical directions this visionary artist will take them in next.
