Fans were surprised with not one but several major announcements just as tickets went on sale for KCON LA’s highly anticipated return this summer. Boy band NCT 127 has joined the star-studded lineup, bringing their dynamic performances to the fest for the first time.
The seven-member group – Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark and Haechan – will heat up the main stage while leaders Taeyong and Taeil are absent from promos due to military enlistment. NCT 127 adds even more firepower to an already epic roster including ZICO, ENHYPEN, P1Harmony, NMIXX, and A.C.E.
In other exciting reveal, top K-drama heartthrobs Rowoon, Kim Soo Hyun, and Jeon Somi will serve as MCs for the iconic M Countdown tapings. Rowoon will welcome fans on Friday. Beloved actress Jeon Somi marks her long-awaited return on Saturday after blowing crowds away in 2016 with I.O.I.
Sunday sees the hugely popular Kim Soo Hyun work for the crowd in his smooth hosting style. The moves signal KCON’s focus on synergizing the top stars across music, film, and TV – a winning formula that helped propel the convention’s rise earlier this decade.
