Leave it to Billie Eilish to keep it real. The “Bury a Friend” singer isn’t afraid to speak her mind, and she just demolished the concept of marathon concerts lasting three hours or more. During a recent fan Q&A with fans live on the social audio app Stationhead, where one listener asked if a three hour Billie concert could be in the cards. Eilish’s response? An emphatic “no way!”

“I’m not doing a three-hour show, that’s literally psychotic,” Eilish bluntly stated in a recording circulating on X (formerly Twitter). Her reasoning? “Nobody wants that. You guys don’t want that. I don’t want that. I don’t even want that as a fan. My favorite artist in the world, I’m not trying to hear them for three hours. That’s far too long.”

While Eilish didn’t name names, some Swifties perceived her remarks as a subtle jab at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour extravaganzas, which clock in around the three-hour mark. However, other fans rushed to defend the “Happier Than Ever” hitmaker, pointing out her previous praise for Swift and Beyoncé’s impressive stamina during their own lengthy shows.

“Beyoncé and Taylor [Swift] are untouchable superstars; the fact that they can put on a show that long, and it’s filled with so many incredible moments, is really amazing,” Eilish told the Los Angeles Times last fall, admitting she finds playing stadiums challenging.

The casual Q&A popped up just over a week after Eilish’s highly anticipated album “Hit Me Hard and Soft” made a splash. Just don’t expect the album to be performed in a three-hour marathon set anytime soon.
