Hayley Williams from Paramore was really excited about Taylor Swift’s new double album “The Tortured Poets Department”! She posted about it on Instagram and said she loved it from the start because of how Taylor tells stories in her songs.

Williams said Taylor has a way of writing about deep feelings that everyone understands. “Every one of us knows this kind of grief! It’s so impressive to me how specific and colorful Taylor’s words get without ever losing the universal thread” she explained. Paramore will be the opening act for the Eras Tour in Europe and everywhere else in 2024.

Williams and Swift have worked together creatively before too. With Williams working on a bonus track the “Speak Now” re-recording called “Castles Crumbling”. Rapper Post Malone also shouted out Taylor’s music, being featured on thee lead single “Fortnight” and called Taylor’s art one-of-a-kind.

People really reacted strongly to the album because of how personally Taylor writes about past relationships. Some question if she focuses too much on drama, but most agree she’s extremely talented at songwriting and storytelling. Even people outside her biggest fans see how good she is at songwriting songs and using metaphors to explore heartbreak and healing.

Jack Antonoff, who worked closely with Taylor on the album, said early on that “Fresh Out The Slammer” and “Down Bad” were favorites. Overall, “The Tortured Poets Department” draws you in with catchy melodies and instruments even as it portrays tough feelings with nuance and style. Other artists see how much Taylor continues growing and can relate to so many through her music.
