Gracie Abrams is set to release her sophomore album “The Secret of Us” on June 21st, and fans were thrilled to learn that the highly-anticipated project includes a special collaboration with Taylor Swift.
Through an Instagram post on Monday, Abrams shared the album’s tracklist which confirms a duet with Swift titled “Us”. Fans had already picked up on cryptic hints of their collaboration, like when Abrams opened for Swift on her massive “Eras Tour” last summer. Their undeniable chemistry was on full display when Swift invited Abrams to join her for an unplanned performance of “I Miss You, I’m Sorry” in Cincinnati.
This new song marks yet another level in their artistic relationship. Aaron Dessner, who has worked extensively with both artists, served as producer on “The Secret of Us”. Abrams credits Dessner along with her other favorites for helping shape an album filled with raw emotion and fun creativity.
Last year brought Abrams her first Grammy nomination, a celebrated milestone that she excitedly shared with Swift over exuberant text messages. Their bond as fellow musicians continues to blossom, with Swift mentorship no doubt fueling Abrams’ rising star status. Fans can’t wait to experience her full artistic vision, now enriched by the surprise talents of her mentor and friend, Taylor Swift
