During his recent concert at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, Drake surprised a couple of fans by gifting them $20,000 each. The Toronto rapper, who is currently on his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia and New Zealand, made the generous gesture during his set.
“You guys are from Perth — I don’t know where you’ve been in your life, but for both of y’all, I’m gonna give you $20,000 each to go wherever you want in the world because that’s what we do out here in Perth,” Drake told the unsuspecting fans, as captured by the Australian hip-hop Instagram account Take Flight.
Drake’s act of kindness was not just about the money, but also about spreading a message of compassion. He encouraged the concertgoers to offer a hug and kind words to those around them, emphasizing the importance of understanding that everyone may be going through difficult times.
The rapper is currently preparing to release a new album with PartyNextDoor on Valentine’s Day, and there has been some speculation about his involvement in a new DJ Khaled project as well.
