The recent unsealing of court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal operation has provided fresh insights and implicated new figures. Among those mentioned in a deposition was Michael Jackson, the legendary pop icon who passed away over a decade ago.
In a 2016 interview, one of Epstein’s accusers recounted encounters with various famous persons during her time with the convicted sex offender. When asked by lawyers if she had ever met anyone renowned, she stated that Epstein had hosted her at his Palm Beach residence, where she came across Jackson.
The attorneys pressed for specifics, questioning whether she gave Jackson a massage during this interaction. However, she firmly denied providing any such service to the 13-time Grammy winner. Later, Maxwell’s legal team circled back to confirm the accuser had met Jackson at Epstein’s property but nothing more.
Importantly, the documents contain no allegations that Jackson engaged in any untoward behavior. While his name surfaced about Epstein, the King of Pop was not accused of any wrongdoing.
With Epstein’s circles including those in high places, it’s unsurprising that prominent figures would come up amid probes into his disturbing acts. As more information comes to light, others may find themselves peripherally linked to the disgraced financier through neutral associations from years past. As for Jackson, the recently disclosed deposition has no bearing on the conclusions drawn regarding allegations made against him when alive.
The December ruling to unseal key files promises to lift more veils on the depraved machinations that Epstein presided over for too long. While social rumors ran wild online, the official records implicate no new celebrities at this time. As for Jackson, his brief role remains as a name mentioned, not accused. The real focus stays on bringing Epstein’s accomplices fully to justice.
