Due to health issues, Chappell Roan has had to withdraw from her upcoming performances at the All Things Go music festival this weekend. In an Instagram story, the 26-year-old explained that things had become overwhelming in recent weeks, and she needed to prioritize taking care of herself.

Roan said she feels pressure to focus on many things right now but must take a few days to look after her wellbeing. She wants to be in top form when performing live and giving her best shows possible. All Things Go organizers expressed disappointment at Roan’s absence but emphasized that an artist’s health must always come before anything else. They encouraged fans to send Roan positive messages of support.

The decision comes amid some controversy over Roan’s comments on the 2024 presidential election. When she said she had no preference between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump, seeing flaws in both, some criticized her for not openly endorsing Harris. Roan later clarified in online videos that she would vote for Harris but refused to fully support any policies, left or right, that she disagreed with.

Roan has opened up about the challenges of her rising fame. At a June concert, she paused to tell fans she found it difficult keeping up with her fast-paced career. A couple months ago, she spoke out against invasive behavior from some overzealous fans, saying she didn’t deserve harassment for her career choice.
