Beyoncé fans will soon get to relive the Renaissance World Tour experience on the big screen. A concert movie titled “Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé” is set for a theatrical release in December.
The film was shot during various tour stops and will take viewers behind the scenes of the entire tour process. It shows performances and intimate moments between Beyoncé, her dancers, and her family. Blue Ivy Carter even joined her mother on stage for one performance.
Early promotional footage features Beyoncé in different outfit changes inspired by her Renaissance album. Fans have eagerly awaited any new visual content since the album dropped in July. Their excitement grew upon learning a movie was in the works.
AMC Theaters secured distribution rights for the film’s premiere in North America on December 1st. It will screen in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada to start with more countries to follow. Tickets went on sale for as little as $22 through AMC sites as well as Cinemark, Regal, Cinepolis and Cineplex theaters.
