Adele didn’t hold back when a rude concertgoer decided to yell an inappropriate comment during her Las Vegas residency show this past weekend.

Kicking off June and Pride month with a performance at Caesars Palace, things took an unpleasant turn when an audience member disrupted her set by shouting “Pride sucks.” Always quick on her feet, Adele didn’t miss a beat in putting the disrespectful fan in their place.

Pausing her piano playing, the “Someone Like You” singer fired back “Did you really come to my fing show to say ‘Pride sucks’?” She called out the bad behavior directly, adding “Are you fing stupid? Don’t be so ridiculous.”

Clearly having no time for hateful remarks, Adele continued by telling the crowd “If you ain’t got nothing nice to say, then shut up alright?” As a longtime advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, she’s shown support through colorful Pride outfits on stage and waving the rainbow flag with pride. Back in 2016, she dedicated a show to victims of the tragic Orlando nightclub shooting, calling the community her “soulmates.”

Caesars Palace likely wasn’t expecting the Grammy dominator to unleash such a fiery retort. But Adele proved once again why she’s a beloved figure – standing up for positivity and inclusiveness even when faced with small-minded criticism. Her highly praised Vegas residency is on through mid-June, before heading to Germany this summer.
