Cardi B fans will have to wait a little longer to see the Grammy-winning rapper perform live, after she cancelled her headlining slot at this weekend’s One Musicfest in Atlanta due to a medical emergency.

In a statement shared on social media, a visibly upset Cardi broke the news that she would not be able to perform as scheduled on Saturday. “I am so sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple days and won’t be able to perform,” she wrote.

The 32-year-old assured worried fans that she’s focusing on recovering. “Bardi Gang – thank you for understanding and I’ll be back better and stronger soon,” she said, signing off with the message “don’t worry.”

Details surrounding Cardi’s medical issues have not been disclosed, though it comes just over a month after giving birth to her second child with husband Offset. The festival also cited her “ongoing health issues” in confirming her cancellation.

Naturally, fans expressed disappointment at missing out on seeing the legendary performer, though well-wishes for her recovery were also shared abundantly online.

While no replacement has been announced yet, organizers say they’re working hard to find someone to fill her headlining slot at short notice. The three-day One Musicfest runs September 9-11 and also features performances from Nelly, Fantasia, Earth Wind & Fire, and other R&B and hip-hop stars.
