Jason Kelce is no stranger to intense game day environments, but even he was blown away by the energy of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Miami over the weekend. After catching some online heat for a viral photo that supposedly showed him “falling asleep” during Swift’s high-octane show, Kelce set the record straight on his New Heights podcast with brother Travis Kelce.
“What is that all about? The show is absolutely electric. It’s the greatest show that’s ever been on stage, and you’re over here falling asleep?”Jason insisted. He explained that during that particular moment in the show, he was totally engaged with the music and feeling the vibes. Travis playfully teased his brother at first, joking that with how electric the performance was, there was no way anyone could snooze through it.
But Jason stood his ground, emphasizing that claims he dozed off simply weren’t true. He texted Travis mid-show to rave about Swift’s incredible stage presence and the stunning visuals under pouring rain. When hits like “Reputation” came on, culminating with Swift’s outfit reveal, the soccer stadium “could’ve erupted” with the deafening roar of adoration from fans, he said.
Travis backed up Jason’s account, relaying that friends who were closer to the stage messaged the same awe over the Miami shows’ high-energy atmosphere. As rain poured, Swift powered through like the seasoned pro she is. The Kelce brothers clearly came away impressed after their first Taylor Swift experience front and center.
