According to recent reports, Musi has been facing challenges due to pressure from major music rights groups. Musi allows users to stream music tracks sourced from YouTube to listen offline or on-the-go. However, several industry organizations were not pleased with this practice.

In July, it was noted that the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), which represents record labels globally, wanted Apple and Google to delist Musi from their app stores. In the latest development, tech blog TorrentFreak has pointed out that Apple has removed Musi from its app store complying with such requests, though no formal announcement was made. It seems the app can no longer be downloaded on iPhones.

The report further indicated that even the National Music Publishers Association and YouTube itself had lobbied Apple towards this outcome. When users asked about the app’s availability on Instagram, Musi responded that it is currently offline from the app store while they “address some comments relating to the App Store.” However, no timeline was provided for its return.
