Ariana Grande set the record straight about rumors of plastic surgery during a recent interview. The 31-year-old singer participated in a lie detector test for Vanity Fair where she was asked pointed questions by her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo.
Grande was queried about specific procedures like a nose job, breast augmentation, facelift, chin implant, or fox eye lift. She denied having any surgery except dermal fillers in the past. Hooked to a polygraph, Grande passed the lie detector portion when answering no to each question.
While dismissing rampant speculation online, Grande admitted to previously using fillers in different areas of her face as well as Botox injections. However, she revealed having stopped both treatments approximately four years ago. The ‘The Boy Is Mine’ singer expressed her support for any procedure that boosts confidence and self-esteem regardless of gender identity.
In a separate interview with Vogue, Grande opened up further about enhancing her appearance with lip fillers earlier on. As a figure in the beauty industry, she acknowledged it as a personal choice but felt self-conscious about too much work done. Grande is now embracing signs of natural ageing but remains open-minded about a potential facelift later in life.
She encouraged having candid discussions about cosmetic treatments without judgment. The interviews provide a rare glimpse into Grande’s evolving perspective on maintaining her youthful appearance through the years in Hollywood.
