Tesla drivers have a lot to celebrate as two major streaming services are poised to take their seats alongside long-time partner Spotify. An upcoming software update will introduce native apps for YouTube Music and Amazon Music – a welcome addition many owners have been eagerly awaiting.

While Spotify has been a staple in Teslas thanks to their ongoing partnership, many drivers have felt restricted without access to their preferred streaming platform. Until now, alternative services like YouTube Music required inconvenient workarounds like Bluetooth from a phone. But that’s all about to change thanks to a rollout that promises to deliver fully-featured integration.

Convenience and cost savings aren’t the only perks. With native apps come a host of enhanced playback controls like voice commands and on-screen playlists. Passengers can even queue up tunes without fiddling on phones. And YouTube’s extensive catalog comes partly ad-free – a bonus for those sticking with free versions over paid tiers.
