Grammy nominations are right around the corner, and fans have been speculating about one track in particular that could shake things up – Kendrick Lamar’s fiery diss “Not Like Us” aimed at Drake.

When asked about the song’s potential, Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, didn’t mince words. “Obviously it’s a hot record. It’s amazing artistry, great writing. The talent on that record is incredible. I don’t see any reason why it couldn’t be. It’s all about the quality of the record. It’s really about the members. If the members like it, then it will be nominated.”

Lamar unleashed “Not Like Us” in May, firing back at Drake during their high-profile hip hop feud. And it immediately struck a chord – debuting at #1 on the charts and holding steady in the top six ever since. Lamar loyalists on prediction site Gold Derby also think it stands a chance, currently ranking 9th for Record of the Year.

K.Dot is no stranger to Grammy nominations himself, previously cited for “Alright,” “All the Stars” and “The Heart Part 5.” But could “Not Like Us” push him over the edge? Fans have the track at 16th for Song of the Year, though his other Drake diss “Euphoria” isn’t far behind at 12th.

Of course, anyone knows Lamar is practically a shoo-in for rap categories. With 17 wins already, he’s cementing his G.O.A.T status. But winning the big three – Record, Song, AND tying Drake’s record? That would leave no doubt who had the last laugh in their legendary beef.
