Billie EIlish can now add another accolade to her resume – becoming the third and youngest artist ever to cross the coveted 100 million monthly listener mark on Spotify.
At just 22 years old, Eilish joins an elite club that includes superstars The Weeknd and Taylor Swift as the only acts to achieve this streaming summit. But what makes her achievement all the more remarkable is the scope of her catalog – with a relatively slim collection of only 82 songs, compared to the heftier outputs of her peers.
This new pinnacle comes hot on the heels of the release of her long awaited third studio album, Happier Than Ever. Landing at #2 on the Billboard 200, all 10 tracks also debuted in the top 40 of the Hot 100 singles chart.
Unsurprisingly, eight of her smash hits now reside in Spotify’s billion streams club, led by her Khalid collab “Lovely” and breakout anthem “Bad Guy.” But it was the underwater dreamscape of “Ocean Eyes” that first caught fire over five years ago, planting the seeds for what was to come.
