Billie Eilish has done a lot of things. She’s won nine Grammys, released three chart-topping albums, and even dabbled in fashion. But one thing she’s never experienced? Getting dumped.

In a recent interview with Lana Del Rey for Interview Magazine, Eilish revealed that she’s always been the one to call it quits. “I’ve never been dumbed,” she confessed. “I’ve only done the breaking up.”

While some might label her a “heartbreaker” for this, Eilish insists that it’s not always that simple. “I think when people hear that, they’re like, ‘Oh, all you do is break hearts, Sure, but that doesn’t mean that people are totally innocent. It means that I was like, ‘Oh, let me get the f–k out of here.’ Or it means things just weren’t right.”

Eilish’s candidness about her relationship history is refreshing. It’s a reminder that even the biggest stars navigate the complexities of love and heartbreak.

Her latest album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” is a testament to her vulnerability. The album, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, features tracks that explore themes of self-discovery and sexuality.

In particular, the single “Lunch” marks a significant step for Eilish. It’s the first time she’s openly sung about her attraction towards women. “I’m lucky that we’re in a period of time that is so much more welcoming in a lot of ways,” she shared with Lana. “It’s still a big deal, but it’s not. The thing that’s been frustrating and gives me a lot of anxiety is the feeling of needing to explain myself all the time.”

“It’s so weird to grow up and change in front of the world,” she admitted. “The craziest part is discovering things about myself and then suddenly, everyone else knows, and I don’t even have a second to think about how it makes me feel.”

Eilish’s willingness to be open about her experiences, both personal and artistic, is inspiring. She’s showing the world that it’s okay to be vulnerable, to evolve, and to embrace change, even when it happens in the public eye.
