BTS Jin Completes Military Service, Reunites with Bandmates in Emotional Ceremony

Fans were thrilled yesterday as BTS member Jin wrapped up his mandatory military service in South Korea. The global superstar wasted no time celebrating with his bandmates upon completing the 18-month stint.

Videos showed the 31-year-old singer beaming from ear to ear as his fellow BTS members surprised him at the Yeoncheon base. Leader RM greeted Jin with a lively saxophone rendition of their chart-topping hit “Dynamite.” The emotional reunion saw plenty of hugs and laughter shared between the long-time friends.

BTS’ label Big Hit Music had kept fans in the loop, stating Jin would wrap service “soon.” They urged the massive BTS Army not to overwhelm the base. Ever the crowd-pleaser, Jin had two celebratory events planned post-discharge.

First was a party in Seoul where Jin would greet supporters up-close. But it was the next evening’s “hugathon” that had fans buzzing. Over a thousand lucky BTS lovers got to embrace their bias in a one-of-a-kind raffle event.
