Halsey is baring it all, opening up about her recent health struggles in a raw and vulnerable social media post. The “Without Me” hitmaker dropped a truth bomb on fans this week, revealing she’s been privately battling not one, but two daunting diagnoses.

In an emotional Instagram caption, the Grammy-nominated artist shared, “In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.”

Halsey candidly admitted the news rocked her world, confessing, “Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which she will likely have for the duration of her life.”

The journey hasn’t been easy, with Halsey admitting, “Things were rocky at first.” But true to her fighter spirit, the “Closer” singer powered through with the help of her medical team, declaring, “After 2 years, I’m feeling better and I’m more grateful than ever to have music to turn to.”
The brave disclosure came on the heels of Halsey’s gut-wrenching new single “The End,” with the artist hinting at her health struggles in the track’s poignant lyrics. In her candid post, Halsey acknowledged fan support, writing, “I realize everyone is catching up with news I’ve held in for a very long time, and I wasn’t sure how much I wanted to share. You’ve all been so kind so I want to share a bit more.”

For those unfamiliar, Lupus is an autoimmune disease that causes the body’s immune system to attack its own tissues and organs. And the rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder Halsey faces involves an overproduction of infection-fighting T-cells, often impacting those with weakened immune systems.

No stranger to health battles, Halsey has been an open book about her endometriosis struggle and other conditions like Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjögren’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, and POTS.

But despite the challenges, this chart-topper’s unstoppable spirit shines through. As Halsey confidently declared, “I can’t wait to get back where I belong: With you all singing and screaming my heart out.”
