Lizzo had her biggest fear realized recently – but it turned out to be nothing to worry about. The “Truth Hurts” singer was the subject of a spoof on the long-running animated series “South Park,” and while she was initially nervous, she ended up loving the jokes at her expense.
In a hilarious TikTok, Lizzo shared her reaction to the episode, titled “The End of Obesity.” The special parodied celebrities using weight loss drugs like Ozempic by instead prescribing “Lizzo” as an alternative. A fake commercial aired touting the benefits of the singer’s music in helping patients feel good about their size without expensive medications.
“FDA-approved Lizzo makes you feel good about your weight, and it costs 90% less than Ozempic. In case studies, 70% of patients on Lizzo no longer cared how much they weighed. Lizzo helps you eat everything you want and keep physical activity to a minimum.”

At first, Lizzo playfully told fans she was “so scared” to be referenced on the subversive Comedy Central show. But after watching a clip where her image was used to promote body positivity through dance parties and self-love, she cracked up. “That’s crazy!” she exclaimed with a grin, impressed the iconic series known for pushing boundaries had featured her music.
The episode poked fun at how insurance often doesn’t cover weight loss drugs by having Eric Cartman get a “prescription for Lizzo” instead. His doctor recommends listening to her empowering songs five times daily to boost his self-esteem. While Lizzo was anxious at the thought of being parodied, she clearly appreciated the positive message underneath the jokes.
