Taylor Swift proved herself a true friend in actress Sophie Turner’s time of need. Turner, known for her role in Game of Thrones, found herself separated from her husband Joe Jonas last year and in a difficult situation with their young children.
Turner didn’t have a place to stay with her daughters in New York. But luckily, she was able to call on her friend Taylor Swift for help. Though they had only recently become close, Swift opened her home without hesitation.
“Taylor was an absolute hero to me,” Turner told British Vogue. “I’ve never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me and provided us with a home and a safe space.”
Swift and Turner’s friendship blossomed just when Turner needed it most. While they met over a decade ago, it wasn’t until Turner’s separation that they grew closer. Swift proved herself a supportive and caring friend by welcoming Turner into her home as she got back on her feet.
Their bond shows how friendship can develop when we reach out for help. Swift’s generous act allowed Turner to focus on her daughters without worrying about housing. Her kindness no doubt helped ease Turner’s transition to a new chapter in her life.
