Halle Bailey took to Instagram on Mother’s Day to share a special video celebrating her first moments of motherhood after welcoming son Halo earlier this year.
The video compiled intimate footage from Halle’s birthing experience in the hospital, as well as her early weeks adjusting to life with her newborn. Clips showed Halle in her hospital bed cradling her baby immediately after delivery, with father DDG by their side.
As the video progressed, fans got to watch Halo grow from a tiny newborn up through his first months. Touching moments included Halo gripping Halle’s face with his little hands and later visiting his mom in the recording studio where she held him next to a drum set.
Halle reflected on the profound love she feels for her son in the caption, writing “My first Mother’s Day. The greatest love I’ve ever known.”
Fans have followed Halle’s journey into motherhood since she first announced Halo’s arrival in January, expressing how 2023 had brought her “the greatest thing” in her son.
More recently, Halle opened up about postpartum depression in an emotional video, conveying the difficulties of separation from Halo as well as adjusting to the transformation of her body and identity after delivery. Though only months old, Halo has already made his debut appearance in Halle’s music, featured lovingly in her mother’s arms in the video for her single “In Your Hands.”
